Baker’s Twine Pom {tutorial}

Ok, isn’t this just the cutest little thing?!?!  It seems so appropriate for Christmas as the poms make great gift toppers, garlands, ornaments, etc… Here’s a quick tutorial…

start with baker’s twine and a fork (be sure the tines are far enough apart to get a piece of twine through them)

wrap the twine around all the tines of the fork several times and cut the twine

with a 6 inch piece of twine, put it through the middle tine of the fork above and below the wrapped twine and then secure it with a knot

slide the twine off the fork

with a scissors, snip the looped edges on either side of the center knot

now fluff it up a bit and viola! POM!

Of course, these can be used beyond Christmas–birthdays, room decor (wouldn’t it be cute to have a pom garland above a mirror?!?), etc…

Happy pomming!

P.S. If you are looking for colorful twine, check out the shop–we’ve got an assortment of colors for all occasions!
