Okay, so I really don’t want to paint the bedroom–I’m okay painting the adjacent bathroom because we don’t have to move any furniture and there is little wall space. Our bedroom walls are Benjamin Moore Hawthorne Yellow *above*. So, that’s what I have to work with–along with the existing furniture. This is a “face-lift”, not a remodel, so we’re doing it on the cheap.
With the existing yellow, these are things that have caught my eye that may work in the space.
- DIY Honeycomb Cushion – Fleeting Thing
- DIY Ruffled Curtains – Less Than Perfect Life of Bliss
- Fabric – Waverly “Square Root” (Sterling) at Fabric.com
- Bedroom – Pinterest
-
DIY Felt Flower Pillow – Urban Fringe on etsy
-
Wicker Chair – Crate & Barrel
-
Herringbone Wool Dress – Dorothy Perkins
-
Chevron Rug – Dwell Studio
My quick comments about the above…the DIY ideas are fantastic. I just need time to do them. ..we currently have a wicker chair in the room, maybe we’ll paint it grey?… that Waverly fabric is so subtle and classy…and the dress! I love everything about it–the cut, the fabric… do you see the antler wreath above the bed in the bedroom photo? Where in the world did this antler trend come from?! I’m still trying to decide if I like it or not.
Lots of inspiration, little perspiration. We’ll get there eventually, right?

I love this color pattern! Next time I’m in town, I want a tour of your ENTIRE house!
Love the curtains. Brynne has ruffles like that on hers from land of nod. Love them!
