We just switched our family room/kitchen from cozy, winter red to the fresh, light blue. Ahhhhh….feels so airy and new. When we moved into our house 6 1/2 years ago, we were very purposeful about our paint and furniture choices for this space as we wanted them to be neutral enough to accent with lots of different colors. It is so much easier to swap out pillows and throws as opposed to re-upholstering furniture.

What all is changed? The curtains, some of the throw pillows, ottoman cover, throw blankets, kitchen towels and I a few other deorative things.
We have some ideas for doing something new in the fall, but we will have to see if time allows (since I insist on making my own curtains and ottoman cover). Right now, it’s so refreshing having the lighter airier colors.
