{SUPER SIMPLE} Cinco de Mayo Umbrella Wreath

We are hosting dinner on Cinco de Mayo, and I am not at all prepared. I have no idea what I am going to serve yet which is very unlike me.

I headed to Pinterest for inspiration (which sucked a good chunk of my time away, as usual–even though I loved every minute!). This wreath caught my eye.  I put it on my list. But it didn’t stay on my list long as I had all the supplies readily available and pulled it together in about 5 minutes.

Super simple – all you need is a grapevine wreath and paper umbrellas (I got a box of 100 at the party store a couple of years ago). The hardest part of the project is not breaking the umbrellas as you open them. I think that some people hot glue the umbrellas to the wreath, but I just wedged them in so that I could use the wreath again. After all, Cinco de Mayo only happens once a year!

It may be our only decoration since I’m getting to everything so late, but at least it’s festive and colorful!
