Last Minute Cinco de Mayo Garland

When I said I was pulling a Cinco de Mayo celebration together last minute, I meant it. And for me, last minute doesn’t mean $$$. Yesterday, I put together a wreath. Today is a garland. An easy and fast garland.

Just as yesterday, there is no need for a tutorial because this project is so simple. Here is what you’ll need:

  • baker’s twine
  • cupcake liners (the more assorted, the better)
  • glue stick

Yep, that’s it. Fold the cupcake liners in half with the decorated side facing out (if there is a decorated side). Coat the inside of the liners with glue and adhere the halved cupcake liners over the twine.

I chose to alternate assorted liners and plain brown liners for my garland and used the plain white twine. It’s colorful, fast and easy. It’s certainly not solely a Cinco de Mayo project; choose cupcake liners to match your any party theme.

I’d better get my menu together!

P.S. There is a selection of cupcake liners and twine in the shop!
