DIY Baker’s Twine {tutorial}

Baker’s twine comes in tons of colors, but once in a while, the color that I need is not something I stock in the shop. Here is a quick way to make your own to coordinate with whatever project you are working on.

Here’s what you need: large popsicle stick, scissors, white twine (available in the shop), sharpie

 Wrap the twine around the stick as shown–it needs to be neat and tidy in order to come out nicely.

 Use the sharpie to draw evenly spaced stripes vertically down the string. Don’t forget to do both sides.

 Unwind the string from the stick. You may have to do a few touch ups as the ink doesn’t always go all the way through. But overall, it’s super quick and easy.

 My fingers were a little purple by the end of things, but it was worth it!
