I don’t know about you, but I often end up with bits and pieces of party supplies leftover. I hate to throw away the extra paper straws, decorations or treat bags. Other than just making an ordinary day special, I try to look for other ways to use these items. Hence the “strawburst” garland. (A couple of weeks ago, I showed you an advent calendar made out of treat bags.)
I snipped a paper straw into 6 pieces and glued it to a circle punched of green card stock. It needed a little something in the middle and a little pom did the trick. A little baker’s twine strung through two of the straw pieces and it’s mantle ready! I think these little strawbursts would also make great ornaments, don’t you? They are easy enough to create with the kids so you could make a little craft project out of it.
I use party supplies all the time for alternate purposes. I use them for wrapping gifts, garlands, banners, and more. Here are the top holiday essentials from the shop that you will want to stock up on.
Get these goodies now so you don’t find yourself scrambling. Don’t have anything special planned? Add some pizazz to an ordinary day just for fun or you could just use them for one of the many craft projects on the blog.
Last minute advent calendars are ready to ship (see the shop for current selection), as well as cupcake liners, treat bags, elf help kits, wooden spoons, paper straws and more! Many of these items would be great for a cookie exchange or even to be used in gift wrapping. So many possibilities!
I promised free shipping, so here it is! Use code STOCKUP for free shipping on all orders over $25.
